The ECB maintains close contacts with market participants to:
facilitate an active dialogue with market participants on topics of common interest;
- monitor and exchange views on market functioning;
- provide fora to discuss structural developments in markets and the financial sector;
- enhance the understanding of monetary policy transmission via markets and financial institutions.
